With the help of my fellow Joyce Ivy Scholars and alumnae, I was able to learn so many valuable skills and lessons that guided me through the college and scholarship application process. I have been given the chance to study at Harvard University for the next four years. I can’t wait to use my college education to make a change in this world, and I credit Joyce Ivy for all the love and support. Getting the opportunity to take a pre-college cancer biology course at Emory University with the support of JIF was a formative experience that led me to enroll in the Biomedical Science major at Ohio State and that set me on a path towards a career in medicine. However, with the Joyce Ivy program at Stanford, I was able to be introduced to Dartmouth and met other like minded individuals who inspired me to understand myself and to strive for more.
